Key Responsibilities:
- Report and Dashboard Creation: Develop and deliver regular reports and dashboards to stakeholders, presenting meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Understanding and Data Preparation: Prepare data through various techniques such as data cleaning, structuring, summarization, and statistical analysis.
- Databases, Data Formats, Data Transfer: Utilize relational databases and SQL to manipulate data and build queries across multiple tables.
- Data Visualization: Create visually appealing and interactive dashboards and visualizations to present data in a clear and concise manner.
- Training: Provide training to enable others in the region to create reports and dashboards effectively.
- Standard and Customized Reports: Develop both standard and customized reports to meet the specific needs of stakeholders.
- Business Strategy Support: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data through data governance processes and quality checks.
- Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance data analytics and reporting capabilities.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and data analytics, and suggest improvements to existing processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge in Power BI, SQL, and Python.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Strong skills in building formulas using BI tools and in MS Excel.
- Knowledge of database management systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business requirements into data analytics solutions.
- Attention to detail and a strong focus on data quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Logistics, Supply Chain, or at least 5 years of experience in similar work.
Experience and Knowledge:
- 5+ years of experience in Ocean Freight and International Logistics.
- 3+ years of experience in creating dashboards and reports for internal or customer users.
- Application competency in Business Intelligence tools.
