JOB DETAILS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Develop and implement underwriting and customer performance models

· Build, implement, and monitor models/strategies for responsiveness, pricing, effectiveness of marketing channels, and promotions to ensure competitiveness, demand, growth, asset quality, and Company KPI metrics.

· Work closely with business and management to provide value added solutions for the enhancement of risk-return tradeoffs.

· Independently develops and produces analysis related to loan origination, performance and forecasting, to include manipulating and interpreting data, analyzing/identifying trends, and reports findings.

· Manage the key metrics and dynamics of our loan portfolio to achieve a risk/reward balance in that we achieve our planned growth while meeting our target loss rates.

· Maintain procedures to ensure loan documentation is timely, complete, accurate, well-organized, and that records are orderly and properly protected.

· Other duties as assigned

Skills Required

· Advanced SQL and Python coding experience

· Advanced knowledge and understanding of statistics and other analytical tools including how, when and why to utilize them in different situations

· Understanding and experience in building statistical models from start to finish

· Understanding and experience in visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI

· Ability to efficiently manage resources and prioritize tasks

· Ability to translate requests into tight deliverables, assumptions and timelines

Education and Experience

· B.S. degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or other quantitative disciplines. Master’s degree preferred.

· At least 1 year of well-rounded experience in lending, lending principles, model development and deployment, for a consumer financial fintech or lending company.

· Experience in subprime lending or credit card lending a plus.

Physical Demands

· Ability to sit for long periods of time in a typical office environment

· Ability to read, write, use a computer and phone system

 

Pay: $90,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
