About the role
As an Innovation Delivery Manager at our clients HUB, you will shape the future of the Gas Transmission system and influence the global transition to Net Zero. The coming years will be pivotal to the gas industry, particularly as we transition to no/low carbon alternatives including transporting hydrogen in our pipelines.
As a leader in our innovation team you will lead a team of pioneers in the Net Zero Transition, building the evidence to enable our ecosystem networks to transport hydrogen and have positive sustainable impacts on our business and country.
The Innovation Delivery Manager will lead a range of projects across the energy system landscape, utilising funding mechanisms such as the Network Innovation Allowance (NIA) and Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF) and bolster this with other funding .
As part of the critical, growing innovation team, you’ll be at the forefront of our business plan. This is a fast-paced and evolving space a key element of this role is variety. As a true Swiss-army knife, you’ll be involved in everything from project management to technical know-how to dealing with the commercials.
The ideal candidate would have an engineering degree/background with multiple years of experience in the workplace managing technical projects and teams, if these are innovation projects even better. We would like to hear from you if you are a self-starter with a passion for sustainability and developing your career. Important soft skills of communication, excellent organisational and time management as well as project delivery acumen is desired.
You’ll work closely with various other departments and external stakeholders to guide your decision making and be proactive in seeking this support and information as you use your engineering and analytical capability to enable the development of the nation’s hydrogen transmission infrastructure of the future.
The most important thing is to have an interest in cleaner energy, and the ability to get things done.
