Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience (post university) designing, planning, prototyping and validating mechanical systems.
- Experience with motion system is required
- Capacity to weigh multidisciplinary trade-offs within complex systems environment
- Familiarity with product certification and compliance standards (e.g., CE, ETL, TUV, CSA, UL).
- Proficiency and comfort with SolidWorks.
- 3+ years experience in mentoring coworkers
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of mechanical design, including developing, prototyping, and validation as well as continued maintenance and evolution of the mechanical, thermal, and linear motion systems used in 3D printer operation.
- Own systems level design and help guide and mentor fellow engineers in the right decision making.
