Requirements
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Selenium) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps) to integrate automated testing into the software development lifecycle.
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in the testing process, as well as to optimize test scripts and frameworks for better performance and coverage
- Demonstrable ability to code in one or more programming languages
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Execute manual and automated tests to verify that the software functions as expected. This includes functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and other types of testing to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Identify, document, and report defects or issues found during testing. Work closely with developers to ensure that defects are understood, prioritized, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure that quality is integrated into the development process from the start.
- Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
- Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
- Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
- Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

- Automation with Mobile Devices – Android and iOS
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- Quality Assurance Experience within the financial service industry.
